DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:

Due to the transfer of jurisdiction agreements for Iowa 105 on other portions of Iowa 105, Iowa 105 in Worth County became Unsigned Iowa 972 in 1993.

PROPOSAL / ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the old description of Iowa 105 in Worth County be deleted from the Primary Road System.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 93-TJ-007-98 between the Iowa Department of Transportation and Worth County transferred portions of Iowa 105 to the County of December 31, 1992 which should be removed from the Primary Road System.

Iowa 105 begins at the Worth-Winnebago County line; then east, northeasterly, then easterly to WCL of Northwood; through Northwood; then easterly, southeasterly, southerly, and easterly to the Worth-Mitchell County line.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the old description of Iowa 105 in Worth County be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description, as described in the attachment, be included in the Primary Road System.

New Description - Iowa 105 and it extensions in Worth County described as follows:

Northwood:

Beginning on Central Avenue at the WCL; then east on Central Avenue to the ECL.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 105 begins on the Worth‑Winnebago County line approximately 5 ½ miles south of the NW corner of Worth County, and travels in a generally easterly direction via Northwood to the Worth‑Mitchell County line at the west corporation line of Carpenter, Iowa.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 105 in Worth County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 105 in Worth County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
